It starts great, then it gets weird, after then it becomes extremely good near the end. It also has some mind-blowing analogies that become even more impressive given the fact that the book was written more than two thousand years ago, so this is the source of many western thought.
The most mesmerizing parts for me were the cave allegory, and the precise political analysis of democracy, timocracy, tyranny, and others in the later chapters.
Sometimes you don’t know if Plato is talking seriously or if he is just trolling.
It was a good read, and I recommend the book.
